Pics from the Gloria sequence
Here are some new stills from newly shot Gloria sequence. The film was shot with a RED camera using the new Mysterium-X sensor.
Gloria is a former teacher of Logan’s. Brilliantly played by Deb Condit, Gloria takes the fugitive Logan (Joe Henry) in to hide him from Mojo.
Logan, finally having found what seems to be safe haven, finds out that Gloria has not left her house in years and has no idea what has become of the town. Believing he is safe., Logan falls into a drug-enduced haze while a bounty hunter/postal worker is sent to the neighborhood to hunt him down. Played by Mike Ryan, the mailman is one of the most bizarre and psychotic citizens of smalltown.
The Gloria sequence is one of the strangest and deepest episodes of the film. Stay tuned for more updates on the world of smalltown.
smalltown Web Comic Announced — Stories of A Suburb Gone Wrong
Exile Movies will soon begin a web comic for the feature-film “smalltown“. The comic will chronicle the town before the events which take place in smalltown: The Movie. The comic, drawn by artist, Jacob Saariaho, will show stories featuring many different characters from the world of smalltown. Minor characters will be featured and the comic will help round out the world of smalltown and it’s inhabitants and give the audience a sense of the town and it’s history.
Stay tuned for the first few sketches.

Character Profile: Pig
Pig nosed killer
Kevin Bacon. Pig gets that all the time. He was born with a deformed nose, and will kill anyone who mentions it. Stylishly dressed like Don Johnson in Miami Vice, Pig fashions himself a city-man, misplaced by being born in a suburb. He believes a man with his skills of torture and manipulation should be in a city mob, but no one will hire him because of his Kevin Bacon nose.
He hates smalltown and wants nothing more than to leave it. He blames smalltown for his nose. After all, it was the unregulated power lines that caused his deformity. He wants nothing more than to kill Roarke so he can get the cred to move to the big time mob, and overcome the prejudice he gets because of his nose.
Pig is played by M. Fogarty

smalltown Diaries
I am going to begin loading up my notes taken from the day to day chronicle of the shooting of smalltown. Although it comes a little late (believe me, on set, the last thing I was concerned about was the internet) I figured you may be interested in what went on during the production of this epic suburban action myth. Stay tuned for the first few days coming very soon.

the road ahead…
As of Sunday, August 23rd, principal photography has wrapped on Smalltown.
For the crew, the last few days have been spent sleeping and reintroducing ourselves to our families and civilian life in general.
Over the coming weeks we’ll have more great stuff for you to look at, production stills and behind the scenes video, interviews with the filmmakers, and a proper trailer for you to all get a sense of what to look forward to when Smalltown is released to the world.
Week 1 in production video
Our first behind the scenes video is up thanks to Alex Sherman, our Documentarian and one of smalltown’s many charming rapists.

In addition to sexual assault, Alex enjoys gaudy windbreakers and heroin
Oh, we’re half way there?
As I’m writing this from the air conditioned comfort of an oversized leather chair at Peet’s Coffee and Tea in Newton Centre, my colleagues are sweating the day away on an abandoned stretch of blacktop that is the East Providence bike path. I would be more exact in revealing the location of the crew but fear they would be overwhelmed by throngs of fans and admirers. Making a movie is glamorous business, and everyone seems to want a peek. What with the double wide trailers, fat paychecks, lavish gifts (rumors are Dan Dawson is buying every crew member a Prius with help from the cash for clunkers program) it’s easy to forget that making a movie is hard work. Just ask our producer, Claire Severance. We’ll do a little Q & A with her shortly, as I’m sure she’d like nothing more than to spend her one day off a week answering sardonic questions from some well-rested asshole in an attempt at humor for a blog nobody reads. (Claire informed me that she does not have a day off, and that, consequently, she will not be doing any fucking Q & A)
But I digress.
We’re at Day 17, right around the half way point of production, and things have been going swimmingly, depending on who you ask. There have been a few hiccups that can only be classified as black swan events, and once due diligence has been performed and I’ve completed the necessary fact checking with area police and fire departments, I’ll be able to fill you in on the details.
Stay tuned for teasers, behind the scenes footage, production stills, and interviews with the filmmakers. In the meantime, enjoy this picture of our set dog, Bella, who looks remarkably like Falcor from The Neverending Story.

Falcor?
